Do you have enough space in you existing kitchen? Am I happy with my appliances? How far do you need to go to accomplish your ideal kitchen. Most kitchen remodel can be put in to one of three categories.

Pull and Replace:
Basically the Pull and Replace kitchen remodel involves removing the cabinets, counter tops and appliances and replacing them with new cabinets and appliances. When doing this type of a kitchen remodel it maybe a good time to replace or do one or all of the follow:  flooring, repainting and plumbing fixtures. This type of kitchen remodel  has the quickest completion time.
Complete Gut:
Some old and warn out kitchens just need to be completely gutted down to the wall stud. This may also be done when you want to move plumbing fixtures, stove location, adding and updating the electrical outlets, adding fax or internet connections, wall insulation, removing old plumbing pipes, bulk heads, many layers of flooring. The completion time for a project like this type can take  one to four months depending on the size and scope of you project.
Addition:
When doing a rough layout of your new kitchen, you may fine that everything you want in your ideal kitchen just does not fit in your existing space. More space is needed. Adding to your home with a small addition my give you the need space to accomplish your kitchen ideas.
